Diane Calello
Diane Calello is thrilled to have joined Caritas this year, having enjoyed many performances of the group in years past. A New Jersey native, Diane has been an active music minister, choral singer and featured soloist for over 15 years. She received her BA in English Literature at the College of William and Mary in Williamsburg, Virginia, where she also sang in the choir and founded an all-women's a cappella group, The Accidentals, which is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year. She then obtained her medical degree from New Jersey Medical School, during which time she feels blessed to have sung at the Cathedral Basilica of the Sacred Heart in Newark, NJ under the direction of David Fedor. For residency training she re-located to Philadelphia and joined her current parish, St. Charles Borromeo in Montgomery, NJ, where she has been a cantor and choir member for over 10 years under the direction of Martha Dudich and Tim Keyes. Diane has sung chorally in the Tim Keyes Consort as both a chorister and featured soloist, and is currently a soprano in the nationally known Princeton Singers, under the direction of Dr. Steven Sametz. When not singing, Diane is an attending physician in the Pediatric Emergency Department at Morristown Medical Center, and lives in Martinsville with her husband, 2 children, and pug, Josephine.
